CheyOnna - founder, knitter, in it to win it

I created the YARN Mission, but I am not the YARN Mission. Yet, some of you may want to know more about me. I grew up in the City of Fountains, Kansas City, Missouri. I have lived in Gateway to the West, St. Louis, Missouri for about 7 years altogether. Currently, I am working on my dissertation in order to complete this long and arduous journey to my PhD in Criminology and Criminal Justice. I have a brilliant sister (whose work I will share with you as it is ready). I have a non-knitting, non-yarn-appreciating husband. Somehow, I love him dearly. My mother is very dear to me and she loves almost everything that I create, it’s a wonder that she doesn’t own all of them.

Now the important stuff, my mother taught me how to crochet when I was just a little one. My mother used to knit when I was a baby but she did not teach me. Rather when I went to college 10 years ago she gave me a book called “Learn how to knit in 1 day” so I learned how to knit in a day.

My favorite thing to knit is…anything lace. Lace projects are challenging and the pattern develops as you knit. I LOVE that.
