This event is open to folks interested in discussing, planning, and living cooperative economics. This space will center Black artists/makers/growers, artists/makers/growers of color, and indigenous artists/makers/growers. (Artist is defined loosely and yes you count)
Mind mapping will be presented as a way to collectively craft out a potential plan of action. (We will continue what we began in the first workshop after welcoming new folks)
There will be a read-a-long of Collective Courage: A History of African American Cooperative Economic Thought and Practice. There will be an opportunity to contribute to the collective purchasing of several books. The book costs about $45 but please pay what you can. (e.g. if you can afford $10 great, if you can afford $70 great-it will help cover someone else’s).
Please join us. Children are always welcome with the main group. Please send questions to info@theyarnmission.com. If you are unable to attend but would like to participate please also send us an email so that we can keep you looped in. (info@theyarnmission.com)
