Similarly these blankets will be constructed of squares knitted, crocheted, and woven in various places, by a diverse group of people, and using an assortment of materials.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-check-square-o” title=”Guidelines” tab_id=”1441208459165-be013093-4570″ add_icon=”true”][vc_column_text]The only guidelines are that each square measures approximately 8 inches by 8 inches and are constructed with Black Liberation in mind. Using 8 inch by 8 inch squares will allow for the construction of beautiful and unique blankets of varying sizes. Feel free to knit, crochet, or weave your squares. Use whatever materials you wish.

Having Black Liberation in mind may not change the design of your square. However, it hopefully will change the conversations that you have while working on your squares. Let people know that your knitting, crocheting, or weaving is part of anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-oppressive action. Let people know that you care about and are working for Black Liberation. Engage and feel connected to this larger community working towards Black Liberation.
