These spaces are intended to be anti-oppressive spaces where we can connect through yarn/art/shared values. We can use these spaces to organize for Black Liberation and idea share.

While I emphasize knitting you are more than welcome to bring whatever type of art you would like to bring. If you do not know how to knit, I would love to teach you.

In our work toward inclusivity and accessibility, we will provide the supplies to get you started and keep you going. Please let us know what you need. This is possible because of our sharing community. Those of us who can, do and we would like to foster an environment that encourages bartering.

Please email us if you have questions.

Accessibility statement:

It is a strong desire that meetups be accessible to all people who hold the values of the space. I apologize for our limited accessibility currently. I will continue to attempt to be explicit and clear about the restrictions of our space and to work on more accessible options.

We will be meeting at RareSpace which is above Cafe Southside. Getting to this space requires walking up 17 steps and then another approximately 7 steps. There is no elevator. (There are people who can help carry things up the steps and it is possible for people to meet in the cafe. CheyOnna would be very willing to go between the spaces)

We do not have official language interpreters. We are working on incorporating ASL (American Sign Language). We are willing to seek out interpretors as needed as well. Please feel free to contact us about your needs. I will work on us having announcements in multiple languages.

While the meetup is a social gathering, it is possible for participants to step out into other areas to have some down time. We are more than willing to give space.
